I suppose dear buddy that it would be called same since it is what it is - artificial oil got probably as a byproduct of gasoline production like Vaseline LOL. I am joking here, but I don't think I am far away from the truth ; ) !
Here it goes under name "Kondremul" and ingredients are :Acacia, Benzoic Acid, Vanillin (for taste), Glycerine, Mapliene Triple Oil - can only imagine what it is LOL, Titanium (?!!!) and Water.
Now, could not be healthy in any way LOL, but my only consolation is that it is not absorbed - just greases the "end" so poop slides out without the friction. If natural oils work for you - stick with them dear Val XOXOOOOOOOOO

Hey - my older daughter got hold of big container of Vaseline when she was about 14 mos. old and eat half of it before I caught her !!!
I called poison center immediately hysterically crying and they just laughed on the other end LOL and said that she will poop it in no time and not to worry at all since it is not absorbed in the guts ! And so it was ! So, you can attempt ha ha ha, if you really feel like it ...But, I am not sure it is same ingredient as mineral oil - just same junk LOL !!!!

Val, I think mineral oil is called liquid petroleum there, but I'm not sure. I remember being confused by the name since it sounded so like gasoline. It should be easy to find. It is the oily one in the laxative section of the drug store. It works because the fatty molecule is too large for the body to digest, so it comes out the other end. Lactulose operates by the same principal, only its a sugar molecule. (Splenda is also similar. It's a sugar that is too big to be digested, so it tastes sweet, but is effectively a non-calorie since it can't be digested.)
