Pain

Postby Guest » 25 Apr 2008, 06:31

Maybe someone could explain this to me. It appears that my fissure is posterior but the pain eminates from the anterior something fierce. Does that make any sense? Or is it because of the highly sensitive area?

you probably have referred pain. With such highly ennervated areas, it is often difficult to tell where the pain comes from. It sometimes seems to radiate in circles.

My CRS told me that nerves in the anus are so interconnected that it is VERY common to feel the pain in one pace and have injury in completely different one. She said that patients are always amazed when they hear that fissure is on completely different place of what they thought ! I had pain on my left side of the anus and it turned out that it was in typical 6 o'clock position . Than when my fissure healed and re opened again I was sure it was brand new fissure at 12 o'clock and it was 6 again Image
