Agree okaybum such good support on this forum it's a true lifesaver!! Very interesting it can take 18 months for nerves to settle its a long time isn't it!!! I've had a better few days and being very careful still with conservative methods. I see a physio for internal manipulation in a couple of weeks. See how that goes!

My fingers are crossed for you. My mum told me early on that nerves take several months. Unfortunately, that wasn't my problem. But after an aggressive week of neosporin and emuaid, I'm feeling much better now. Still a twinge or a sting here or there but bm's are fine. I'm better than I was when I went to the crs. I'll be babying this for forever though. Hopefully I can get it healed so I don't need a fissurectomy and can just have Botox.

Okaybum I hope with your careful healing work you are getting somewhere now. I think I am going to have to be very careful about my BM forever as well as this is not my first relapse. I wasn't careful though before now I have more info and advice.

well in 2015 I had sigmoidoscopy. Report was fissure visible but extremely small, no intervention or surgery required.

I've gone from that to terrible pelvic pain...male, had doctors tell me I had prostatitis, chronic pelvic pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, proctalgia, pudendal nerve pain.

It's endless. Whatever it is it ended my secular career. I have not worked since 2016. I cannot sit, period.

I hope the ganglion nerve block helps, it's tomorrow March 1st.

What does your pain feel like? I had LIS done around 5 months ago, everything feels great when I go to the bathroom and I can do everything just fine, but my anus itches a lot, sometimes its very minor, other times its much sharper, and it actually itches less after I go to the bathroom. I seem to have more issues keeping clean post surgery and have a fissure scar and LIS scar. I wonder if the itching is actually nerve pain?

well sorry it didn't help. That's the second nerve block now.

Pain is hard to explain....burning, aching, throbbing, radiating. It goes up the rectum and continues to the front midline of the Pubic bone, it's 24/7.

Vodka helps, I don't like alcohol but I do what I have to do.

Good luck all
