How did your doctor's appointment go hurtinend? And any luck with getting into physical therapy soon?
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy

my doctor prescribed Cymbalta, it has shown to greatly decrease overall pain and improve sleep (it’s an anti depressant)

It’s a 2 month wait to see the best pelvic physio

The doctors do seem fond of prescribing ADs for conditions like AF, pelvic pain, and the like. My own GP tried to put me on Duloxetine (same as Cymbalta, I think), but after a few days and nights with it, I refused - there were too many painful and distressing side effects. I do think the physical therapy route is preferable, though haven't much benefit yet. Hope you get a better experience of it.

not yet too soon

I’m convinced I have a type of proctalgia but it’s chronic and lasts all day

I have had it for so long now I’ve given up and I’m done with doctors they are clueless to the condition and there’s no fix anyways.

I hope the drugs do start to help - AD type meds do take a while so persevere and hopefully you will get some relief at least.
Have you tried PT therapy I'm sorry you may have already and it's not helped? I've done one session and back for more next week. I found some improvement initially then relapsed but I'm hopeful to see a longer term healing. She certainly could feel the source of my problem - tension and so on.
