LASER lateral internal sphincteroctomy?

Postby Bkan » 18 Feb 2019, 14:20

Hi all,

Has anyone heard of LASER lateral internal sphincteroctomy or had it done, they don't do it in the UK, but one of my cousins have mentioned that this procedures is taking płace in India and some European countries?

Apparently the healing time is quicker and incision of where the sphincter muscle is cut is very small, however the risks are the same as a LIS.

I’ve not heard of it I’m afraid, but I’m trying to avoid LiS unless I couldn’t cope anymore.

Hi fissure frustration

I've had skin tag removed twice. Once in posterior position and that's okay. The second in anterior position and this one has grew back again and is causing me pain, I think the scar tissue is irritating the area on bowel movement.

How have you been after skin tag removal?

Up and down really, the skin that was left is so sensitive and tight and the scar can rip at any time causing another small fissure. Everyone’s different though and depends on size of the tag etc
