In hospital emergency

Postby hurtinend » 14 Dec 2019, 14:33

spasm in rectum is so bad I can’t urinate (catheterized)

I hadn’t slept for 3 nights previous to this as the rectal spasm is so intense

What the hell am I going to do my life is over and the doctors just don’t have any answers

They say to go get biofeedback therapy. Well damn that’s only done by a few specialized physiotherapists (of course it’s not done in the medical community)

I know this is a fissure board but damn all this hell started from a small fissure, going back now 9 years ago.

Losing my mind I know nobody here can do anything.

Hang in there, you'll get to see the physiotherapist soon. Can you get in earlier since it's really a very serious situation? I'm sure someone else can be moved over for you.

Take care, I wish there was more I could do to help...
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy

Well it will be difficult. The physio is online booking only, not even a phone number. I sent an email...

They removed the catheter I can pee again thank god but I spasm even when peeing.

They gave me a prescription for a suppository:

Diazepam|Baclofen|Lidocaine

I have to get a compounding pharmacy to make it.

Sorry for the rant this damn thing just gets worse.

I hope they read your email soon and show some understanding for your situation.

The suppository sounds like a very good idea. I always found my Valium suppositories helpful but after Botox I no longer need to use them. You may experience some mild burning but it's worth it compared to the relief. They take about 15-20 minutes to start being effective.

I have to wait a few days for the suppository

In the meantime I took a Flexeril and Amitriptyline and it broke the spasm..

I’m totally knocked out that stuff is harsh

Sorry you had to take such strong medications, but once you have the suppositories you can avoid the systemic doses. Glad to hear that it worked though.
