Recurrent AF

Postby KTH100 » 19 Jan 2020, 12:17

I had an AF earlier in the year, which presumably healed (no pain), but it made a reappearance in November and (I thought) healed in December, since I had no pain.

Now I have painless bleeding during bowel movements, but not all the time. Blood is bright red. The fissure did have a very painful hemmorhoid type blob on top (sentinel pile, maybe?) which is now gone. I thought that was the cause of the bleeding--that it burst--but now I don’t know.

Anyone else have a painless AF with occasional bleeding?

Off to the doc again. Damn.

So my doctor is referring me to a surgeon to get checked out. Could be a long wait.

I read on a hospital website that sometimes chronic fissures can be relatively painless but bleed occasionally. I hope that’s me because the alternative (anal cancer) isn’t pretty.

I’ve rec’d no responses so I gather that most people haven’t had painless bleeding with fissures. That’s kind of discouraging.

I have a painful fissure with no bleeding. I’m kind of jealous to know that a painless fissure is a thing! :D

I know, eh? Mine were like those both times, until this latest episode.

But the pain at least tells me it’s a fissure. The lack of pain is worrisome.

Guess it’s a matter of how you want your :poop: served. :)
