I can totally agree on this. People are different, but most I have talked to have healed best on very soft stools. Personally, I prefer bristol 6, and have only had problems with bristol 4. After I heal up, I agree we should aim for bristol 4, but not while trying to avoid retears.

I use the waterbottle trick myself, but many people are happy for sitzbaths. I used it myself before I discovered the water bottle trick back in 2013 :-)

Anyways,
Be carefull with those advices, and Happy healing everyone!
- Fissure developed in Jan '13
- Started rectogesic in Feb '13 and diltiazem Apr '13.
- Got botox Jun '13
- Healed by Okt '13, although I still had some irritation for about a year.
- New fissure April '22, healed June 2022
- New fissure 24. December 2023
