8.5 year fissure i think i found my fix

Postby missy moo » 23 Apr 2022, 14:57

Ok i don't want to count my chickens before they hatch but something has changed I'm very confident I've finally turned a corner in my healing journey and what is the difference you ask lol plan old psyllium husk 100% natural no additives just how nature intended. Tmi but I'm passing hard bits, weird shapes, large bms, fudgy sticky bms, soft, all the bms there are with out any trouble pain or blood it can feel an bit stressful physically an mentally at times were i would normally have pain like during a big bm or hard bm but i try to breath an relax i also move around like from one bum cheek to the other an put one foot up onto the seat then switch an lift the other foot up this helps to break that mental tension we create in that lower area so things can move as thet naturally want to. I only take 1 teaspoon a day NO softeners haven't had them in months but i only added the psyllium 3 wks ago an I've noticed changes as mentioned also my muscle seems looser but in a good normal way. I also put retogesic don't know how its spelt on after every bm just because it can't hurt an it will help relax things after the fact. I really think after 8.5 years on softeners thanks to doctors telling me it would fit me all i had to do was have the cloned soft bms everyday without every having anything but perfect soft unnatural bms. I've finally figured out i need normal bms to heal not super soft. If you only have soft then we can't pass normal bms without issues an life creates different bms everyday!!

So glad you are getting some relief! 8.5 years is a long time. I feel so sorry for you. I think I am starting to heal also. Here is what I am doing:
1. Squatty potty - think it really helps.
2. psyllium powder. I take 4 heaping teaspoons a day, so a lot more than you.
3. No stool softener or laxative.
4. A cream the doctor prescribed. Nifedopine and lidocaine. Haven't felt like it helps a lot but maybe.
5. And the big one, botox injections. I think this is what really helped.

Also, sit on a heat pad that I heat up in the microwave to relieve pain. Take one sitz bath with epsom salts per day.

I agree. Go slowly, don't do a dramatic increase. Sorry Botox did not work for you. I was seeing NO improvement for 3 months but have seen improvement since my Botox shot three weeks ago. Still not better by a long shot but at least some improvement. The doctor who did my botox said to take a LOT more psyllium powder. Said you could almost not take too much. I really wonder if he has ever had a fissure? I bet not. I doubt either of the two doctors I have seen really understand what it is like. They have given me very little advice on how to treat the pain and their protocol is to suffer for a while before they will even consider botox.

Having a glass of psyllium husk is like a meal in an of itself so i wouldn't recommend it with a painful bleeding fissure because the more we put in the more that has to come out. I'm having 2-3 bms a day now were as before it was 1 sometimes 2 but i would of hated having more then 3 back then while i was in pain heck even 2 woulf destroy my day. So definitely tapper off softeners an slowly introduce psyllium anyone reading or who will read this in the future. Stool softeners mite not heal everyone they mite help you avoid constipation if your say in medication that can cause constipation so softeners can be helpful in some situations but never should it be used for more then a few months my own opinion because your anal muscles need to work with normal bms. If we use softeners the muscles get tight just like all muscles in the body if you don't use it you lose it and they all get tight an don't flex stretch well if not use to it you can tear or pull a muscle if you randomly decide to say life something heavy that your muscles aren't use to just the same with bms a big normal bm mite damage you if 6 out of 7 days your having super soft bms. Good luck all abd i agree doctors just read from the script most have no personal experience with the conditions they treat.

Thought I should come back and update anyone who reads this. I would consider myself 90% healed now not from a cream, surgery or anything outside of me. I worked on myself mostly self-love I learnt to appreciate my body and see no parts as unclean or gross. I learnt to be appreciative of my bum I even thanked it for the first time in my life I started to see it as apart of me I connected with it. If this sounds strange to you that's a sign that you also need to do this haha. It could be what works for you. There's a few things that I believe got me to were I am now.

1. I stopped looking for help outside of myself
2. I stopped seeing others as bigger then me, in terms of giving power to everyone else and seeing myself as being in need of other to save me.
3. I loved myself for the first time inside and out
4. I talked kindly to myself and my body
5. I looked into other people who healed themselves.
6. I started to have gratitude for myself my body an things in my life.
7. I looked after myself, by doing things I loved, taking time out, moving my body, and eating for fuel and healing as well as having little happy treats sometimes.

8. Meditation or just sitting with myself in silence being present.

9. I read a book by Louise Hay called you can heal your life and more recently I've been following and reading books by the medical medium.

I hope everyone finds healing from within as this is the key even if you get surgery still work on yourself to create internal harmony. I decided to write this because I've had alot if people reach out to me over the years and I wanted to give back. For 8 years I had a fissure I got botox twice, heaps of creams, fiber, cut things out of my diet, cried, begged, gave up emotionally a few times, I felt punished and thought my body was broken an didn't work properly why me I asked why is my life like this.

Well I've found its alot to do with our mindset, gratitude, self love, how we feel about ourselves and what we say and think about ourselves and our lives that plays the biggest part in how our bodies do and how our lives play out in general.

Please feel free to reach out. I really hope someone hears this and can heal once and for all. Take care of yourselves. Love to all
