i wonder if our national health care system will be similar to those in europe or canada.....i think something fishy will turn up and we will get something called national health care but it won't be anywhere like that in europe or canada.
can't say yet if it will be positive or negative.
i wish we could keep the system we have now but it is all a national health care system. we do got it good right now but it isn't reaching everyone.

I also hope it will stay this way - at least one can somehow "find the way" . With all that bureaucracy we certainly will be the last on the list of system's priorities and we all will end up in Kaisers with even more of the restrictions. They should just work out the insurance plans that would cover people that can not pay for them - and I think that it is a shame that country as rich as this one does not cover everybody : ( or can deny insurance to a sick person - just inhumane !!!!

Thanks for the update on how your GP visit went. I hope they can get you in quickly. Maybe with your hubby there you can relax, knowing that no questions will fall through the cracks and you don't have to remember everything. I always bring my list with me. I think doctors are trying not to roll their eyes when I pull it out of my purse though! My husband typed up my history and brought it in for them to put in my chart so they would have a complete idea of who I have seen, what they did, etc.

I think a health care plan with minimal to low copays ( so people feel invested) should be available to all through the government along with privately held insurance. I think it is terrible how we lag behind on so many health factors compared to other industrialized countries.
