LOL Guys!!! I would never leave you all! I am a total anal fissure support forum addict and I could never leave even if I do heal for good. This place is like "crack" to me- PUN intended! Image

I have not been able to post much for a few days because I am studing for midterms next week. I may not be posting that much for a week or so. My butt has been the only thing on my mind this first half of my semester and I just realized I am totally not ready for my exams next week!!! Image Image Image

My butt is getting better everday, however there were many times like this prior to LIS - I thought I was healed and BAM Image !!! The fissure would return with full force.

I have not really read many posts so I hope everyone is doing well. Just know that I am praying and thinking about you all constantly! Every one of you!!! :truebud: I also love everyone's continued support for my butt!! :sprinkleheart:

Hi Jen. You really *do* need to get your mind on your education and off your butt. Now, you admitted you feel better everyday! It is different this time. You are going to heal this time like you never have. Regardless of the amount of worry you invest in it. Invest that energy where you need it, girl!! And try not to *sit* any more than you have to, curly locks!!

Ok guys - I am 3 weeks post op and in need of some advise please.
I had a BM this morning and I knew when it was coming out it was a larger one. Anyway, my butt felt like it was streching, but I had no spasms. Anyways there was no blood on the TP when I was done, but the saw a couple specks on my poo - Honestly, I would not have even noticed the blood unless I was not looking for it. It was very little.
I looked with my mirror and noticed my fissure - which has given me zero problems since LIS - was slightly torn with a trace amount of blood. It always tares in the same spot right outside my bum.
What should I do? I am a little upset. I really don't want to run back the the CRS since I am only 3 weeks post op. I mean - the fissure has been around for so long. Maybe I just need to give it alot more time to heal now that the spasms are gone. But then on the other hand, I am thinking the doctor should have given me a fissurectomy. It is true that I had spasms, and they are gone now thanks to LIS. But, the scar tissue tore again. Should I just try to give the scar tissue more time to heal??? What has been your expirience with the matter?

Stop looking!!!
Why are you upset about a little blood? It's like a clown being upset about a little makeup. Honestly, Jen!!
You are still gonna bleed some...even six weeks from now and even six months from now, (but then just occasionally).
Even now I can have just the experience you just described, and it has been a year and half!! But i am fine and you are gonna be, too.
BTW, a reminder, it takes 4-8 weeks for the fissure to initially heal after the surgery. You ain't there yet!
I'm just trying to be the voice of reason, Curlylocks!

Fissures take about 6-8 weeks to heal after the LIS and then that area needs about a year for it to regain its elasticity and strength.  But the good news is that you now have a looser area so that any injury will heal faster so you can deal with a small cut without it turning into  chronic problem.  I know Kim had mentioned on the board that he bled occasionally after he healed froms LIS but never to another fissure.  I think that area is just sensitive and vulnerable and you need to give it so more time.

THANK YOU KIM & LECIA!!!!!!!!! Image
I was hoping that you guys would say that. I was honestly thinking of Kim this morning when it happened. I have read numerous times about your occasional bleeding.
I thought about calling in for an appointment, but I am not going to. If this is a regular event that keeps occuring after 2 months of LIS, than I think an appointment will be justified. I mean - I have no spasms and honestly am alot looser. If I never even would have looked, I would not known it had torn. I think a big issues is that I stopped taking my mag pills due to the horrific stomach pains they gave me. I should probably order the mag glycinate today to see if they are less harsh for my body.
Thanks again guys! I am going to listen to your smart advise and just see it this goes away. Sometimes it is just hard to understand that the scar tissue will ever heal for me - my CRS said it would, but scar tissue has no elasticity.

You will always have a some scarring but it won't reopen over and over after it gets stronger.  You know how when you get a cut on the side of your mouth and it takes longer to heal because we have to talk and eat and drink?  Well, same thing with the butt.  You have to use it so it takes longer to heal.I would try the mag glyicnate and see if that helps.
