abreva?

Postby happyass » 19 Oct 2008, 18:48

well here watching lifetime channel - living proof (movie 'bout breast cancer) - and well, the previous two movies were about sexually active teens - anyway, there was a commercial for abreva, the cold sore medication, and you know how a cold sore appears on your lip....well, i wonder if abreva could have any positive outcomes when applied to a fissure?
since it gets rid of a cold sore, an opening in the skin, and helps soothe the nerves from pain....why wouldn't it help with perhaps a fissure?
hmmmm...... Image

oh yeah, i know...one for "herpes" "cold sores".....but you never know....
if foot cream and powders can make some improvements, who know what abreva can do?
imagine if that was the magical cure for closing up a fissure?
and all this time, everyone has had it in their reach at the OTC!!!!

Well, you never know! It would be worth a shot. Lord knows I've put so much other stuff on my butt as it is.

I use carmex lip balm for cold sores and it provides some cooling relief on my bottom ! I only use it on occasion though.

I think many of us find out what works and what doesn't just by trying new things, as weird as they may sound.. Eg I never thought Id use goldbond powder for my butt hehe but it helped relieve the itch I used to get with diltiazem! Likewise with A&D ointment (which Lecia was sweet enough to ship me when I first joined the board), aloe vera, vicks vapour rub, etc. So you guys are right, its worth a try for someone ambitious!
