I would think that after several days of little or no pian, you have an obvious hard BM or some other incident during a BM, and the pain comes back... I cannot say for certain...fissures seem hard enough to understand even for Colo-rectal professionals, much less us lay-people.. As for healing...little or no pain and probably a good, strong itch..? Just a guess!
Why did I ask this question? Just kidding. This morning I had pains while cleaning myself at the fissure area. I haven't felt that in a a while. Oh well knock on wood. Just when you say your feeling better...wham..this fissure has a stuborn mind of it's own....and likes to remind you I'm still here. So frustrating. Thank you Marie
