Kefir - Has anyone tried it?

Postby Guest » 09 Jul 2007, 17:37

It sounds too good to be true. I just heard about it yesterday and plan on buying some soon. Oh, the battle to stay regular!!! If this stuff does what they say it does, I'll buy some grains and make it myself!

I don't know much about kefir but hear it is wonderfully nutritious. You'll have to let us know what you think after you have tried it, Sounds very interesting!

Tried it. love it. It tastes like yogurt. though I don't notice any difference in the stools, it does have all of those wonderful probiotics.

If you decide to make your own, would you mind posting the recipe?

i would love to try it but i am staying away from dairy as much as possible.
there are other ways to get probiotics in the system.
also at whole foods they have digestive enzymes in tablets that will help with digestion.
macrobiotically, if you can get yourself some chinese pickles and have them with your lunch and dinner, they will help with digestion as well.

activia is another yogurt product that markets itself to help you get regular.
i really liked it when i was eating that stuff.
i would eat danactive in the morning and then have activia in the afternoon or evening. i loved that stuff.

Thank you Kim! I think he's pretty cute, too! Image
I bought some Kefir - strawberry flavored - from Henry's and it's delicious. I don't think I had enough to make a difference, but I'll try it again and maybe make my own.
