Nice new avatar Cheryl - Is it you??
Yes, I do think the winter will end! We had a beautiful "spring-winter" day here yesterday - it was 38F and the sun was out and the birds were chirping away. Promise of what is to come!
And luckily, the electricity never goes out for long here. They have a law about electricity not being allowed to go out for more than 24 hours (or something like that).
If you went to a foreign country and they asked you to eat some food and you didn't know what it was but suspected it was some insect, would you eat it?

Yes, bumbutt, that's me at about 5 years of age on my uncle's golf driving range! I should be good at golf if I started that young, right?? :)
No, no, and no! No insects, snake meat, or stuff like that for me. In fact, several years ago my husband and I and some other people were eating at a smorgasbord, and I was commenting that what I was eating was tasty, and then my husband said, "Those are frog legs you're eating," and I dropped them like a hot potato!
Do you think one man's garbage is another man's treasure. Along those lines, have you ever watched the TV program "Antique Road Show"? If so, do you think the values the experts put on the various items brought by people to the show are pretty accurate? I don't know if that show is shown out of the U.S. or not.

I do believe one man's junk is another man's treasure. I have watched Antique Road Show and think the experts are accurate. I also watch a new one called American Pickers where they basically go through other peoples junk and find treasures that I would be clueless about.
Do you think if marijuana is legalized in the US, there will be problems?

I don't think there will be a problem, in fact have not even thought of it. I think more of those that it would help. If it was legal now for pain, I would be putting some into some cookies. I have never been a smoker, but could definitely see myself using it for fissure pain, if it were allowed.
What is something that you do that is sure to relax you?

Eating some magic cookies! Ha! No, I wasn't going to say that... Umm, taking a walk in nature is a surefire way for me to relax.
I really did read on some site though that marijuana is sometimes given for fissure pain! Must have been in California...
By the way, they even have a Swedish version of Antique Roadshow here which is very popular. They also show the American one here too. I have to admit I like watching it. I always loved going to antique stores and even junkyards... Weird kid.
Yes, you should be a good golfer Cheryl, starting at 5! Nice photo.
What was the first record you bought when you were a kid?

If you like cathedrals (I love them), which one have you visited that you just loved?

Ha, yes, I felt fairly safe asking about "records" instead of CDs or MP3s, since those playing this game were born before their invention! Image
Hmmmm...cathedrals... They are usually big and impressive, but I think I prefer the ones that are different. I guess one of my favorite religious buildings would have to be the Mezquita in Cordoba, Spain. It is a mix of a mosque and a cathedral (with a long controversial history). A very beautiful building.
Do you read a newspaper in the morning? Do you have a local paper?

I like interesting buildings. A friend and I are reserved to go on a bus trip through our local university group to tour Frank Lloyd Wright homes near Chicago in May. Image
I get most of my morning news via the internet, but we do subscribe to a regional paper and have it delivered each and every morning! BTW I think I have finally figures Charlie Sheen out after reading on the net what some medical professionals said about him.
Do you think Camilia should become queen?

I think the Princes William and Harry should get to decide whether she should be queen or not.
The Frank Lloyd Wright tour sounds interesting! The university campus has nice buildings too.
Have you ever picked and eaten fruit directly from the tree? What was it? (I'm hungry, thinking about food - didn't get enough breakfast! Going to go raid the kitchen now...)

Yes, I have picked mangoes direct from the tree. So delicious. I miss really fresh fruit. I really only eat bananas right now, and they do not taste so good by the time they get up here.
What is your favourite quotation?
