1 step forward, 2 steps backwards.
had a BM this morning and again had some blood on the toilet paper. Again coming from this skintag/wound near the sphincter.
Overall pain is becoming less by the month, but maybe i'll ask the crs for some laxative to make it easier to heal the wound.

Sorry to hear about the backwards steps. You aren't taking any laxative now (like miralax/movicol)?
When is your sigmoidoscopy? I'll be interested to hear what your results are.

Yeah it's frustrating, but i suppose i should be happy the pain is less again. I mean it's been way worse at first, and then it became less and less so im trying to be positive and sense it's healing. But it's taking soooo long.
I have never taken any laxative. At any time.
I have my sigmoidoscopy next monday. Want it to be over with along with the blood tests and than at least something can be ruled out. It's more of a precaution because there's ulcerosa in the family. And at the same time they can check out the wound/site.

Are you opposed to taking a laxative?
Taking a 3/4 dose of movicol has been key for me in reducing the pain, and regulating my BMs.

Not in particular. Just never found the need for it. But perhaps i'll ask the CRS after the scopy for some laxative to keep things a bit smoother.
Im an unhealthy eater at times :)
I haven't had any noticeable spasms though, which is good i guess. As always most pain is generated from the skintag like wound, which is internal, nothing external. But it's more of a numbed down pain as what it used to be " back in the day ".
No huge increase in pain or spasms after BM, like it used to flair up in 30mins to an hour.
So hopefully im moving towards the right direction. Image. Im currently not using any ointment of any kind. Going to see how things go till i have my sigmoidoscopy.
