Sav,
Could you return to Southern Africa since you liked it so well??
I am pretty ignorant about trees, but I think I would go with crab apple. Our neighbors (closeby) have one of those, and it is just beautiful.
Is there one thing about your body (aside from digestive difficulties/challenges) that you would like to FIX??

Cherylk. I think one always loves the country in which you spent your formative years. And also, my daughter and her family are there,  my brother and a sister live there with their extended families, and my parents are buried there  I could return, but I am married, and we have to be where my husband's chosen profession has taken him, and he is American. Sorry if I go on about South Africa, but it occupies a big place in my heart!
I am very happy with my body, and would not fix anything about it.

Tess Gerritsen I guess but there are too many! Jeffrey Deaver, Mo Hayder, Val Mcdermid, the more gruesome the crime...
Do you have a secret, guilty pleasure? I'll never tell!

I used to like to chow down on a whole pot full of kraft dinner while watching very silly sitoms - just as a treat to myself.
Em - I don't know if we share the same taste in authors, but I'm a big fan of JM Coetzee. I find his stuff so powerful.
What was your favourite tv show when you were a kid?

Bewitched. I'm a Halloween baby so the whole witch thing fascinated me...still does, I guess...gilligans island was a close second, though.
Recently they found a woman who lived in her van in the middle of the Nevada wilderness for over a month thanks to her GPS. Do you use one of these and if so, has it ever gotten you lost?

I used to watch Bewitched too! It would be so nice to have those powers.
My iphone has gps, but it's often so inaccurate i certainly wouldn't use it for anything that required real directions. I doubt I would use any kind of GPS device, or at least I wouldn't rely on it exclusively.
I was so happy when they found that woman, but I am heartbroken that her husband is still lost. I am so sorry for that family.
Do you have or are you getting an ipad?

I'm sorry for them too, I hope they find him so they'll know, the not knowing must be hard.
I have an iPod, which is practically fused to my hand :) I wanted something for music in the car my husband got it for me last year, now he calls it my gamegirl and always makes fun of me. I love having the Internet in my hands at all times but I don't think I'll upgrade to an iPad, I would have to justify that expense and I have everything I need with the lowly iPod, which I couldn't live without!
Did you read, watch the movies, or were you affected at all by the Harry Potter craze? ( be gentle, I did all three)

Afraid I do all three, read everything, TV is always on (though I tend to watch documentaries and news channels) and am a fan of Harry Potter movies.
What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten?

I have an LCD tv, 42 inches, which is huge to me, my husband wanted it but I'm the tv junkie, funny, eh? Must be a man thing.
Do you BBQ in the summer? And if so, do you have something special you make on the BBQ?
