Coccyx cushions and anal fissures?

Postby Guest » 23 Aug 2007, 12:27

Hi everyone,
As an update, it looks like no spine surgery at this time. What does everyone think about a coccyx cushion when a person has a AF? I read some people used donuts here on the board and I just wanted to get some opinions?
In short, I think I lost some muscle tone in my buttocks are due to not working out my legs are much anymore which is making sitting uncomfortable.
Thanks!

Hey Chris,
I was just wondering where you were and how you were doing! That is good that you didn't need the surgery. How are you coping with your back problems?
I am not sure what a coccyx cushion is. I have a pillow that has the foam center cut out that I sit on when driving. That seems to help a lot. If this is what you mean I can find the link for you.

That would be perfect. I'm assumming it never bothered your fissure?
Thanks again!

Thanks again Lecia!
Did you use this when you had a AF too? I know you have a nerve issue in that area.

Yes, I got it when I had AF so that I could drive while I was healing. It just so happens to be good for the nerve but initially I got it for the fissure.
