Magnesium

Postby Soreguy » 26 Jul 2011, 22:41

I discovered the reason I got my AF, I was not getting enough magnesium.
My GP tested for it and my magnesium level came back in the lower 3rd of the normal range and suggested I take magnesium.
The problem is all the magnesium suppliments in the chemist are very weak and so is the amount in multivitamins. If you have say x amount of magnesium oxide only a certain amount of that is bioavailable, tablets contain something like 60mg which isnt significant, they are called gentle formulations because they dont affect BMs.
I am currently taking ZMA 2 caps which contains magnesium aspartate equiv to 300mg of magnesium 3/4 of the RDA its like taking 10 of the small magnesium tablets at the pharmacy.
It works similar to movicol although not as harsh and natural.
