Scheriproct

Scheriproct
Hi all
Anyone used this stuff? Was prescribed by the Dr as a suppository and ointment but seems to do nothing at all! used it for seven days as prescribed and found no relief or improvement Image
To be honest im getting more relief from Vaseline at the min. What to try next is the question?
My biggest problem at the min is getting comfy at work. Im a truck driver doing 12hour night shifts and bouncing around on a truck seat is no fun! if you ever see a truck driver with tears in his eye's its me Image
Thanks for reading

Hey Trev,
I've never heard of this ointment. I will research it later. The main thing is to avoid any ointments that are prescribed for hems for a prolong period(over 2 weeks) of time as they can thin the skin and make matters worse.
Do you think it would be possible to get your doctor to prescribe one of the ointments that are traditionally prescribed for fissures such as the diltiazem, nitro, nifedipine?
I often thought about how the hell a truck driver would manage a fissure- when I had one. Omg Image

I think Sheriproct is for piles. Have a look and see if it has hydrocortisone in it, if so stop using it, it will make things worse.
Typical useless doctors giving out hemmoroid creams!!

Might as well go to B&Q for DIY tips!!!
Get to the useless doctors and get referred to a CRS (colon rectal Surgeon). It is the only way forward. Also, Trev, stay on this forum for help as we all know the answers in one way or another!!

Scheriproct contains an anaesthetic pain killer and a steroid (prednisolone) anti-inflammatory. As Dawn said long term use of steroids can make the skin in that area thinner, so I would bear that in mind and not use it for more than a week.
