Two Weeks out. Started back at work 11 days after my surgery, I have had no pain that would remind me of my fissure. Occationally I will have a sharp pain which I think is either the surgery site or the fissure but its only a second or two, just enough to remind you your ass is still there. Havent taken anymore pain meds since about 8 days out, just started lowering my Miralax to see if I can do away with it, just doing a half dose at night. Metamucil and Fiber One bars the rest of the day.

Good for you Tony, glad to read this! I'm in the same boat really 3 weeks out. Just some weird twinges here and there and then they are gone. Hope you continue on this path!

Wow Tony, great news! This is really helping me too (and great advice about reading the success stories only). I'm trying to decide if I should have the LIS and I do have one question. The doc said after surgery you may have some trouble controlling gas. Did you have this and if so how long did it last? I work in an office and can't be passing gas at my desk

I have not had problems controlling gas. I have had a shitload of gas and it is now a deep bass. I am farting constantly. I think it's the fiber. I am going to try working in some citracel or benefiber to see if that helps. Thinking about it I did have some skidmarks early on but that has gotten better. Right now luckily for me I work out side at home depot so I can angel gas at my leisure.

Couple questions . . . What is the difference between metamucil and benefiber? Using benefiber now, would I have to go to meta after?
Second . . . ummm . . . "skid marks?"
