Hi guys, Sorry not been posting for a month. Have totally given up talking about my prob. As most of you know had my wide awake (failed) Colonoscopy. Had MRI 4 weeks ago yesterday, whilst they investigated "a mass" and still not heart anything results wise!!! I take this as good?... I rang my CRS secretary last week, she informed me my results haven't come back and my file is with "hospital finance." Until they release it, I get nowt, nada, no result or care !!! But, she said you are released, let go, no more appointments as far as I can see?? WTF??
I went with 2 fissures back in early february, and along with diltiazem and finding my own fix thanks to this site. I am still no further along and way from being healed! I live on Movicol and Magnesium tablets. Great, for now!! But, where is my LIS as I know I need it. Sod botox!
So, lesson is this. Go to NHS with One problem (fissures) they find a Second Problem (mass? which I knew nothing about?) and Three, they fail at Colonoscopy to take biopsies whilst I am awake...Absol ducking Lutely! and hey presto.....Four....Leave you alone and knackering your kidneys as you depend on laxatives to prevent our problem! Great! I love living in Britain!! NOT!!! And I apologise for not responding to your posts, am so so fed up with it all! But, as always...fight, fight and fight some more............(this post is mainly for the poor Brits, whose only hope is this site! David Cameron is the Devil in disguise, up yours Prime Minister!!

Sorry to hear things aren't going so good. I can't understand for the life of me why you all can't get straight answers or better care. The system is clearly not working when people aren't getting proper treatment! I've seen dogs get better treatment than I have some of the people on this forum!
Don't give up though!! Like you said fight, fight, and fight some more!! Give them hell! You deserve to know what the to know what the hell is going on with your MRI results, etc.

I know you're tired of hearing this and probably would like to slap me for saying it, but hang in there!

Do you know how Val's doing? I hope she is getting to see a CRS earlier than she had thought!
She did do a great job with Butnik! We have quite a few new boardies, not sure if they may be interested in taking him before me?!
I'm crazy Andrea, I get attached to people to easily in here and am interested in seeing how they get a long. I come in planning to not post but as soon as I read, it's all over! I will probably have to cancel my whole account to break free, Lol. Also need to pass on the administration torch to someone to keep an eye on this place for spam, etc... I know Val is probably not up to keeping an eye on all of this right now alone.... Just can't walk away, until I know for certain someone will be able to! Lol.

Why have they not got your results after a month? Thats crazy! Sounds like they have signed you off with no follow-up appointment, I'd ring up again. They should have given you a follow-up appointment to get MRI results at least. Do you still have the fissures? I thought you said the fissures had healed. Could you ask for a second opinion and explain that you are still having movicol. Maybe try and force the issue, say you are still having problems and need to see someone. I am going to a different doctors in the practice, and am pushing for help with my thrush (which has turned out not to be thrush!) problem! He is doing swabs and then referring me I think if its not sorted soon. Unfortunately I've had what he thinks is vertigo too but he took my blood pressure and its very low so got to try and get that sorted now! But I feel better in myself which is good. I really hope things improve for you soon, get ringing them back! :)

OMG Andrea! What a flippin mess! I thought Canadians suffered with crappy health care. I'm so angry for you! That's just wrong! But you're right - you have to keep fighting. Don't give up. Keep pestering them! They deserve to be pestered and eventually they will have to help you.

Not sure what the situation is in the UK, but do love the fact that you can get your medical records when you want them here in the States, or at least in the state that I live in. It never ceases to amaze me, the cheek of doctor's nurses. I just won't be put off. And they are not allowed to refuse you. Many people do not realize that they are entitled to their results. When I lived in Denmark, got them there too. You would think that there would be some sort of standard in the EU.
