Are there any special drinks (besides fiber ones) you take?? I know to avoid milk, coffee and I assume soda, but what else is OK??

i think tea has caffeine and thus is not really good too. Avoid alcohol too. U can try replace milk with soya milk, they contain magnesium which won't constipate. However, do remember eat all foods in moderation

Any fruit juice or decaf drinks should be ok. I would stay away from soda though.

Soda is not good for anyone. I drink tea or coffee (regular) now with no problems from either.

I used to drink at least 1 or 2 cokes a day, plus tons of coffee. I don't dring coke anymore, only once in a while, but I do still drink 1-2 cups of coffee in the morning with no problems. There is no way I could give it up completely...LOL

the truth be known....one cup of coffee in the moring really helps the BM. I stopped and I noticed the effect in a few days. The trick is, make sure you are drking a few glasses of water before and after the coffee.

I agree wecc, I need coffee to get things going. As soon as my feet hit the floor in the morning. I drink 16 oz of water and then throughout the day. I am a smoker(yes bad I know) but a cigarette with the coffee has always worked for me. Planning on quitting after surgery, but just cant do it now..One step at a time!!

Not too hot on soft drinks, as most contain either large amounts of HFCS or Aspartame/Nutra. Used to drink lots of coffee, but I've slowed down on that as well. Mostly, these days, I drink either water, Green Tea, or herbal teas. I don't drink any alcohol, and haven't for years.
For sweetners, I use either Turbinado Sugar (the brown stuff), or more often, honey.
Of course, there's also the good old fashioned Lake Michigan Highball. Great anytime!

Lots of water. Gatorade is great too. Filled with lots of electrolytes.

What does Gatorade use as a sweetner? If it is either HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup) or Aspartame, I'd stay away from it.
