Fresh Mango

Postby Davo » 09 Feb 2012, 10:03

Does anybody else eat this?
When ripe it is very soft and acts as a mild laxative keeping everything moving and softly.
In the UK M&S sell a small pack called Mango Madness and i can highly recommend it - just dont eat too much at once or your stomach starts playing grumbling tunes!!

I will have to check this out. I've had mango before, but generally as part of a fruit salad and totally unrelated to my AF. Thanks for the tip. Hope you're progressing well.

I drink mango juice every day at lunch. It has a fair amount of iron too!
It's yummy cut up in a spinach salad as well.

After some of the warnings I'd seen and my own experience with a plain old lettuce salad, I've been staying away from uncooked veggies lately. I miss that.

I go easier on salads than I used to as well. They just don't digest as well for me as cooked veggies.
But I find a small salad with lunch helps. Maybe it's cause I always put avacado in it?
They are so expensive this time of year, but worth it!

Usually, I either forego breakfast, or I have a cup of McCann's Steel Cut Irish Oats. I also take my Metamucil and MiraLAX at that time, along with morning meds.
Sometimes at lunch, I will eat some vegatable soup or a couple teaspoons of creamy Peanut Butter.
Dinner consists of cooked veggies and chicken, usually either boiled or grilled. For the chicken, I usually only have white meat. Tonight though, I made a special treat that I'll be having as leftovers for the next few days. I started out by frying some Super Firm Tofu in oil and Tamari. I then did the same for some chicken meat. Finally, I cooked snow peas, water chestnuts, chopped celery, a bit of baby corn, a small amount of baby corn, and some finely cut carrots. Once everything was all stir fried, I added a Teriyaki sauce and tossed it for a bit. Excellent!
