Post Fistulactomy - Near about 2 months

Postby katbhuve » 23 Apr 2012, 10:26

I am thankful to this forum as it gave me strength and support whenever I seek for help.
It's been near to 2 months that I had Fistulactomy and it is still continuing to drain. I am not sure that it is pus or not. Except for couple of times, I haven't seen much blood after the BM. I have no constipation issues. I have no pain and have stopped having sitz baths from past 5 weeks. I am not following any specific diet as my CRS said their won't be any impact.
Does anyone has any idea on continuing sitz baths and diet can many any difference in healing/recovery time??
Thank you.

I had my doctor visit yesterday. He tested the area with a porbe kind of thing and said that half of the area was healed and for the rest to heal fast, he suggested me to start sitz bath twice a day.
Hope the rest will be healed in a month or two.
