Withdrawals

Postby Jenbug » 19 May 2012, 14:57

So,while this no sitting thing might be ok to someone else, it's definitely not the bees knees for me.
I've trilogied it up with star wars. Greedo shot first!? What a betrayal of my childhood. I've rooted for frodo, and I've watched more sex and the city than I want to admit.
I miss gaming. My with inquisitor on the old republic must be lonely..and mass effect 3? I can't take more heartbreak or screaming at the tv for the last five minutes that ruined an entire game..
I can't take the 7 rooms of dragon age either. Skyrim..well there's only so many people to murder or sweet cakes to steal.
Books? I started the immortal Nicholas flamel series and stumbled onto the accidental witch series. But I guess I'm just a jaded 30 something who wants her computer, her yahoo messenger, her local pub, and her video games.
I've decided that the first thing I'm doing when I'm able is putting on my firefly tanktop and running the nearest gamestop.

Man I had some big time withdrawals for awhile. All at once I gave up ALL caffeine (2 cups of coffee every morning and sweet tea throughout the day and with supper was restricting my blood vessels providing less healing blood to the wounded area), meat (afraid of constipation), cheese (my favorite, but also afraid of constipation), orange juice (switched to apple juice to avoid the burning of the citric acid, and I haven't started a day without oj since I was 5 and I'm now 51), popcorn (my absolute favorite food), cookies and chocolate, weed (frequent user but for some reason it caused my sphincter to spasm), pasta, pizza, chicken wings (afraid the hot sauce would burn on the way out) ice cream, and sex (orgasms made my sphincter spasm). Gave up alchohol but I wasn't much of a drinker anyway. And probably a few other things I forgot, but I did find some very good decaf sweet tea (Arizona RX).
I've been healed now for about 2 weeks and have added chicken and tuna back into my diet. I'm having some wonderful sex now again, but only with myself so far as I'm going through a divorce.
I've lost 30 pounds, from 219 to 189, and the funny thing is I actually feel 20 years younger. I spent the day hiking and rock climbing with my 15 year old son Joey. My strength is coming back for sure.

I miss beer and steak so much....maybe as much as gaming..I also miss walking my dog. He's a good boy and doesnt understand why his daddy or grandma is walking him now.

Jenbug...yes it sucks....I literally spent 2 weeks before my surgery and 2 weeks after hopping from the toilet to the tub to my bed to an air mattress i put in the living room so i could at least spend time with my son. My dog, bless her heart, followed me everywhere...she was exhausted! I too watched everything, read everything etc...and by 2 weeks after surgery i definitely had cabin fever. But, I dont know if you had surgery or if you are trying to heal without...all I know is, I missed a trip to see my daughter in Germany, missed my oldest son's college graduation, and missed the last part of my high school son's baseball season..if you feel things arent healing without surgery, go see the crs. I am 5 weeks post op and I never thought I would feel this good again. before surgery I was scared to death to eat...lost 20 lbs..(will get the bikini out and at least take a pic)was soooooo down. Now I a see surgery was a God send for me since I was not healing. Either way, I hope you find something to keep yourself occupied...I actually ended up increasing my prayer time ...by alot! good luck and feel better!

I had the surgery. I had a fistulectomys done and it's not been a fun time!
I'm actually more scared of hurting myself and causing pain now than what's there. Now it's down to an intense sting if I move wrong. But I'm still scared of wiping and sitting..I just don't want to go back to a day ago!
I've spent a lot of time wishing I could be out seeing my mom or out doing something fun with my husband, even just mowing the lawn sounds great right now!

Whoa. Im on my third week and it still sucks. I think I'll listen to bill and check out what he said to use. I'm trying to reach the Dr but he is pretty busy.
I mustered some strength yesterday and fixed back up my PC and I played a little game but yay I'm back on my bed because it hurts :-( I'm not even sure if its the soreness of the fissure because the area (posterior) isn't hurting but the left side is.
I just want to be able to sit and do whatever. God willing I hope its soon.
I tried sitting without any support and its alright for a minute then as I get off I feel the burn.
UPDATE: 22/5 ... guys... by the grace of God and prayer I'd say... today there is literally no pain...so hang in there OK :-)
