decision issue- shud i have LIS? how long for recovery?

Postby rubius » 13 May 2012, 11:48

sumwhere am convinced its hightime for me! that is have dealt with AF too long to jus go on.
certain things are keeping me from deciding if it is the right time for LIS-
1) i expect exams in one - one and half months for which i need to slog.
2) i have my marriage scheduled around immediately aftr exams.
3) given these two conditions isnt it better for me to have LIS now- will i be able to heal enuf to sit up for say atleast 6-8 hrs and study and maybe 4hrs lying down after a week after surgery.
4) the reason i m considering a surgery - is that the amount of time im giving in dealing with the pain on a daily two cycles per day, it would be better to give it to heal instead post surgey?
need help ,especially info as to hw long i will actually take?
the surgeons say i will be discharged that very day and can do a 12 hr train journey back to my place ...... is it possible.

by two cycles i mean i have 2 BMS per day.after that i go for a sitz bath, cleaning and stuff taking about 1 hr or so. so thats like 2-3 hrs... and time spent in eating and cooking special food.

um, i wouldn't do a train ride for 4 hours back right after your surgery.
yes, you would be discharged once you are able to show that you can pee and that you are dealing well after the sedation wears off.
if you are doing a train ride, i would highly suggest someone accompany you. you will need to probably have some depends diapers with you just in case if you get "the urge" to have a bm.

its may 23 now. have you decided to do the LIS yet or are you still questioning?
