Is there anything that makes it worse or better? Does this discomfort wake you up in the middle of the night or are you free from the symptoms while you are sleeping? Did the diarrhea and abdominal discomfort accompany any kind of change in your diet or are you using stool softeners or fiber supplements? Did the bowel symptoms coincide with the fissure? Do you have blood in your stool? Are you having increased frequency in the number of times you go in a day?
What you are experiencing is more than likely due to anxiety, but only a checkup with your doctor can tell for sure. There are people who have perianal Crohn's disease that shows up as fissures, but you would probably have had a lot of GI problems in addition to the fissures if this was the case with you. There is also always the chance that you have some kind of GI infection or parasites, but again only a doctor can screen you for this with stool testing. If it would help your anxiety it probably is worth a trip to the doctor for your peace of mind.

I have been taking stool softeners not something I am used to taking. When I am sleeping at night its the only peace I get. The minute I wake up with in an hour im worked up. I go a couple times a day now vs the one and its usually Diahrea. My doc checked me and said everything was fine these were normal and as I told you I have a colonoscopy 5 years ago and was perfect.
I tried taking some xanax it seems to help a little until it wears off its not a perfect fix but it works.
Also the trip to the doc is easier said than done. I am laid off right now.

Ok, so knowing that it really does sound like stress and anxiety and possibly the addition of the stool softener that are causing your GI symptoms. If you are able to get uninterrupted sleep without waking up in the middle of the night with diarrhea, and you find some relief from the Xanax it points away from something infectious or Crohn's disease and points more toward stress.
Having a fissure and being unemployed are stressful situations. If you have anything that helps you with anxiety like a hobby, reading, music, a hot bath, meditation or prayer, slow gentle walks, etc., it is an essential time to turn to these kinds if things to help you reduce your stress levels.

I was tempted to go back to the Doctor but honestly I saw him 2-3 weeks ago and I know what it looked like down there before I saw him and he told me what it was. I also know what it looks like now. Not sure if this will make sense at all but the area at the bottom of the anus closest to the ground Is where one of the fissures is. It almost right in the middle of that little elastic flap of skin stretching across, not sure what its called looks like a tiny rubber band about an inch long Going left to right. That could be why that one hurt so much it would ease my mind if I knew what it was called.
I will work on destressing and not checking it 20 times a day but its so darn hard not too. Also the Fissures themselves look like little tears that are kind of a deep red inside maybe even purple. Is this normal? I also wonder should the area around the sounds be white from it trying to heal....very confused.

Yes, the way you are describing the appearance of the fissure is very normal. And it is much better to avoid checking it as stretching the skin will likely cause it to tear more, and is probably just going to be upsetting to you anyway.
Here's a basic diagram of the male anatomy. The internal anal sphincter isn't labeled, but it is the muscle on the interior side of the external anal sphincter.

I see and the white areas around the AF wound are normal you say? Does it have something to do with the healing is it trying to form a scab? I checked its not puss its tough to tell the way I have to look. I know blue purple around the hole is normal those are the veins under the skin. (Which can become hemmies) I was just concerned when I saw the white area around the AF I dont udnerstand why its white most scabs are very dark...god I am so confused. Any explanation every time I google its cancer all over and its making my anxiety worse.
Also I had to edit your link out to quote you, apprently new members cant have links the first 7 days.

Well, I can't say for sure as I don't know what you are seeing, but since you did see your doctor who diagnosed a fissure I really wouldn't be too concerned about cancer. Keep in mind that anal fissures are extremely extremely common and anal cancer is actually pretty rare. The white part you are seeing could definitely be the process of healing or it could even be scar tissue from previous healing occurrences in the area. I know it's really hard when you are worried about something, and honestly if it continues to worry you to the point where your stress levels are continuing to elevate due to your worry, it would be in your best interest to try somehow to gain access to a doctor to check you again and give you some reassurance.
