I apologize if any of you have gone over this already but, has anyone had experience with Rectal Rockets? My doctor gave me 20 of the 4% Lidocaine Rectal Rockets. She says to use them after each BM and also before bed. When I picked them up, the pharmacist commented on how many people have had success with them and he said he's a big believer in them as well. However, from what I've seen online, people have had success ridding hemorrhoids with them, but I didn't see much about healing fissures with them. Thoughts?

I can see how they could be really useful for delivery of medication but I don't see how lidocaine is going to be useful as the medication they loaded it with if that is the only medication in it. Sure, if it gives you some relief from the pain, that's great, and maybe with some pain relief the sphincter will spasm less, but honestly I haven't heard of any great reports from the use of lidocaine with fissures, other than a mild very temporary pain reliever.
But maybe with delivery through the rectal rocket it would be more effective, who knows. Let us know how it works out for you!
