MSM supplement

Postby MommaAJ » 18 Jun 2012, 21:16

So I was researching today and came across some info regarding the use of MSM (Methyl sulfonyl methane) as part of an anal healing protocol as it is "a metabolite of DMSO and is a naturally occurring source of sulfur. MSM is a safe and naturally effective solution for inflammatory conditions and for healing tissues. Most people notice a distinct healing of their anus within a day or two of taking MSM orally."
Oddly I just recently first heard of MSM because my dog has been put on a supplement of it for joint pain/arthritis. Being a sufferer of Fibromyalgia, I thought maybe in the Fibro community this (being useful for inflammatory conditions) may also be a possible help for my daily pains - so I googled that as well. Sure enough, some people with FMS are finding some relief from this. That was enough to convince me that I ought to add this supplement to my daily routine - heck if it can help my fissure heal faster, AND help my joint pain...COOL!!
I will report back after a few weeks of use.
Anyone else heard of taking MSM for anal healing?

Hi Momma AJ,
I've heard of MSM being used for all kinds of things, and came across the website you mentioned where it talks about MSM and anal fissures. Who knows? I haven't tried it yet because I have to be so careful about my GI reactions to things, but would be really interested to hear if you have any success with it. Good luck!
