Hello all, I'm new here so I'll try to keep this brief.
I've had an anal fissure off and on about ≈10 years. I went to a specialist about five years ago who said my fissure was to far up/deep to operate on. He recommended the typical change in diet- more greens, fruits, water, etc.
Unfortunately that hasn't helped at all. My diet is super strict and it has made no difference with regards to my fissure.
Here's the thing- my fissure only irritates me while walking. It has never, ever, caused pain during BM's. The problem being, on bad days, if I walk four city blocks it starts to hurt really badly. If I walk another four blocks it starts to bleed. Which is torture as someone who walks virtually everywhere and leads a very active lifestyle. In my reading on the subject I've found few people that have had this problem- obviously pain is usually associated with bowel movements.
So my question is- has anyone else encountered the problem of fissure pain being triggered by walking? And most importantly- any recommendations on healing? The only thing I've found is Dr. Wheatgrass Skin Recovery Cream. I've used that for years and it doesn't heal anything, though it can relieve the pain a bit.
Also, any links to threads pertinent to my main questions would be much appreciated.
Thank you!
