yes table salt is very dehydrating
if cooking use a good unrefined sea salt
yeah acidic foods are a big no no.the foods i find the worse are
chips,soy sauce,asian sauces...full of sodium,milk and cheese,vinegar,popcorn,buscuits,crackers...just stay away from white flours full stop.they have no fiber and are full of salt and leach magnesium from the body.

I don't have any problems with salt, but then again, I use this stuff called "No Salt" in my food. It tastes the same as salt to me, although it's a bit on the expensive side. My mom uses it because she has high blood pressure, so I've gotten used to it. I think it's just potassium.
I avoid all acidic and spicy foods since I developed acid reflux again last year. I sure do miss spicy food (I used to LOVE Indian food) and tomatoes, but that's life, I guess.
Oh yeah, I do eat pear chips from Harry and David. I don't count those as regular chips, though. They are really yummy and have fiber in them. We have a Harry and David store nearby, so I make sure to stock up on them. Never had any issues with them and they're a great snack.
January 2013 - Diagnosed with fissure. Eventually turned chronic.
History of IBS and anxiety disorder, along with fear of using bathrooms other than my own caused it.
Tried Diltiazem, but eventually developed a rash.
LIS surgery scheduled August 26th.
