A month after botox - it is back :(

Postby worried » 23 Apr 2013, 14:37

hi everybody
I had botox around a month ago and felt good starting the next day - no painful BM, no spasms just a bit weird feeling. So I was sure, I will be fine. But unfortunately it all started again some days ago. I had holidays in Paris and walked around 15-25 kms every day and the second evenig felt somethig was not right. next morning hadvery strange feeling (probably tearing of the AF) and blood in the toilet :( Now for the next 3 days no blood, but same old feeling all day long - spasms I guess, so I am taking pain killers. I am scared to touch myself down there and I am using shower to clean myself, but today I felt something painful there. Touched it - feels like a hard lump, kind of sharp, a bit painful. what the hell is this? I also have skin tag(s) but these are soft? I have read here that botox for some people starts working after a couple of weeks, so can the botox I had still help me?! What aabout exerising, dancing etc - I have skipped my sports club for almost 2 months, and would so much like to go back, but as this walking made it worse(I guess it was it), I am afraid to go :( any recommendations? ideas?

Hmmmm. A lot of posts go unanswered (including one of mine today). How frustrating. After my first AF (I thought it was a hemhorroid as did my doc) seemed to heal (after five weeks) I had a long day of sitting, followed by a tiny poop, followed by a good walk. That was it. Retear. Still haven't healed after ten weeks. SO, I suggest paying close attention to your body and what it is telling you. Most people recommend exercise as it gets the blood flowing. However, stop or slow down if your anal area feels uncomfortable. The lumps outside can be a sentinel pile (or external hemmies); mine was a sentinel pile and I think the sitting and walking caused my retear. Oh, you might also have a thrombosed hemmie--that is what they thought I had the first visit. It is a blood clot in the hemmie that is painful. Can you get checked or rechecked by a specialist? I'd recommended that. I'd recommend the specialists over general practitioners--their technique for exams tends to be better. I almost hit the GP who tried to examine me the first time and I'm a nice person! Good luck!! :D

Thank you very much for the answer. I have been feeling good after posting here - I have not had any pain for a week (not walked much though or done anything else physical) ... I wrote to my doctor (she is a proctologist) who said it might be from walking as 20km was probably too much, but she said I would need to go back to take another look of what is going on there. I have the fissure somewhere higher inside, so I have never seen it myself.

Sorry to see you had no answers
It sounds like the painful lump could be a sentinel pile. Mine flares up when I aggravate it by travelling or walking too much.
Best to get it checked out though!!
On a good note.... I'm glad to hear you have had a good pain free week!!!
