when I got my nitro cream last week, the doc said that we could try lorazepam (Ativan) suppositories to help relax the sphincter spasm. I didnt go for it, has anyone tried that? I know that lorazepam has side effects and can be addictive.

I use ativan every night, 0.5mg. It helps me through the night. If the doctor suggested it, I would try it for a while. You have simply to cut down slowly.
