Kashi Cereal

I have found the 9 grams of fiber in Kashi cereal, along with whole grain bread with 4 grams in each slice, flax seed oil, magnesium and a vitamin of "greens" is a the perfect combination for keeping my fissure at bay.

dan, do you take Milk of Magnesia or Magnesium supplements? i've been using MOM regularly lately but i'm wondering if Magnesium in vitamin form would have the same effect.
what kind of "green" vitamin do you take?

i love kashi!!!!
i love their 'vive! digestive' cereal...it is a probiotic cereal that is yummy.
mix it up with all bran bran buds and you got a really great bowl of fiber.
i like to mix it up with life cinnamon!

dan, how do your magnesium vitamins affect your Bowel movements? are they soft, runny, liquidy? the MOM makes me go first thing the next morning (i take it at 10pm everynight). it makes things liquidy and i like that b/c it doesn't hurt coming out or at all during the day after. just wondering if vitamins might have the same effect but mabye better for my stomach.

I think it's the combination of everything that keeps things soft. They aren't runny or liquidy. Just nicely soft coming out. I get up at 3:30 a.m. as part of my work day so within 15 minutes of getting up I go daily. I'm on a perfect schedule as far as that goes. I think I started taking magnesium when I found out I had IBS and someone on an IBS board told me to take the magnesium to keep things soft.
