Grumpy

Postby Unhappy Daddy » 19 Jul 2013, 00:30

I don't have much to add that others have said. I am in pain and grumpy.
I am very patient with my 4 year old daughter who has Autism but it takes everything I have with nothing left for anyone else.
This pain has me very upset and makes it hard for me to focus on anything.
I'm sorry for a worthless post but there it is. OUCH!Image

I understand where you're coming from.... My son is autistic too... And full of energy... It's hard to be a parent of a child with complex needs when all you can feel is pain radiating through your body!!
Talking things through on here really helps... You can get great advice and support.
You don't mention if you have seen a dr or not?
We're here to help.

Maybe if you share your situation with us when your ready, we may be able to offer some advice about what is working for us, and there may be some things you havent tried that could help.
Just remember, you are not alone, and there is as much, or as little, support right here whenever you need it.

Well Hello Unhappy Daddy
Worthless post you say. We understand; But really there's no need to apologize for your thoughtful words. You are ultimately doing it for yourself and your daughter. Better days are ahead although its hard to see that now.
That you have the patience to deal with your challenged  daughter is a good sign. That's because if theres anything you need much patience for it is anal fissures.
Please do keep a fighting spirit for us and your daughter as the days and weeks go buy, and as my friends above me has said, here you will find much comfort and reassurance when things look really bleak.
You have already found someone in the unique situation your in, so I'm sure you two could take the opportunity to ask away on how to cope with this or that.
Welcome aboard, thanks for joining...

Unhappy Daddy, we all get grumpy when having to deal with our pain in the butt.
But is always hope, yes is not a lie to make conversation, is actually hope and end of this pain for many, plenty of success stories here that you can read when feeling down.
If you feel up to please tell us more about you, you doctor experience and how far you are in your treatment. Image

Thank you everyone!
It's been feeling a little better lately. I've been drinking lots of water with fiber powder, eating oatmeal for breakfast and snacking on baby carrots and salad. I've also been trying zinc oxide and pain/antibiotic creams. It seems the water, fiber and sitz baths before and after a movement work best. The creams seem hit and miss. Sometimes they sting unbearably.
When I posted, the pain of a bad tooth infection, the fissures and challenging days with my kiddo came to a head. I was feeling pretty desperate but reading this forum has been very helpful.
I was behind in school work, Wife has been extremely busy in Law School and my child's symptoms were getting worse and dealing with insurance providers to get coverage for her therapies was overwhelming.
I find it interesting how I'm able to deal with 1 or 2 big problems better than many small issues. The small issues creep up and overwhelm me before I take corrective measures unlike big problems that I can resolve systematically.
Thanks again for the encouragement, everyone! Image
My username is not fitting. I am happy as a daddy and my little girl brings me joy and a sense of purpose that I've never had in my last 39 years. These fissures though, oooooh weeee. NO FUN AT ALL!

Btw, I have seen a GP doc and was referred to a specialist. The Nitro Glycerine will cost me $450.
I had to reschedule the appointment with the specialist twice and the third time I cancelled. I explained my busy scheduled and cancelled 48 hours before each time but they are charging me anyways and my insurance won't cover it so I'm determined to stay on a diet and not have to get caught up with the billing department in that clinic.
Wish me luck!

Highway robbery!
Rectogesic is the identical product and can be ordered from Australia, online, for about $50, unless I am mistaken...
