Hi,
Been really worthwhile reading here.
I did my fissurectomy and anal tag last Thursday. Went into the operations thinking its a simple procedure and now I'm regretting not doing enough research before.
Been a rough 5 days with the nightly cramp/spasm being the major pain. Day 4 started great with minimal pain so I tried driving and all. Paid the price last night with pretty much one hour of sleep.
Been on the bed since morning today..feeling better today though.
How many days it took for you guys before you got back to work?

The surgeon failed to mention a week off from work. Only his schedule nurse told me. That's part of the reason I elected to cancel the surgery and continue with natural healing which has worked for me.

That's what my surgeon missed to tell me. Maybe I should have been more inquisitive. Its day 6.
Hoping to get back to work next Monday.

I think 1 week is a bit ambitious really - I am at the 2 week post op stage having 2 tags removed and no way I will be fit to work for another few weeks - but also had laparascopic surgery too

Hey guys,
Feels great to be able to write here without any pain down there.
Went back to work on day 12 with very minimal pain, discomfort is the better word. The doctor cut the stitches on day 8 and to my surprise I lost pretty much all the pain after that. Felt great coming home from the clinic and couple of days after that felt good enough to get back to the office.
I hope my story helps you people, not everyone has to go through hell for a long time after the procedure.
Thanks again.
