Wow, I will call you Great Daddy..:D  That's a lot of Doe..$$$$.
My Nitroglycerin 0.2%/Xylocaine 5% is a compound ointment that certain Drugstores in Canada can make.
It cost me $50.00 dollars, I don"t have a plan so I payed that price.
See if you can order the Rectogestic online as Savaici suggested.
Have a great evening.:)

I'll do that. Thanks!
My general practitioner is helpful but unfamiliar with treatments other than surgery. She does listen to me though and if I ask about the meds you are all recommending, she will look into it and try to get me something affordable.
There was a loud crash I need to go investigate, lol. My kiddo has been in to flinging things across the room today. Image

I was able to get a referral to a specialist.
I found out that the frequent sitz baths coupled with the Boilease (20% Bactine) ointment and Prep H (Phenylephrine) caused too much moisture to be trapped in me bum area (points in a circular motion around the cheeks) led to a fungal infection. Whoopiee! That mixture worked well to alleviate pain and discomfort for OTC drugs.
The doc prescribed me Nitro Glycerine and and cream for the fugal infection and I am now at about 90% healed after more than 3 weeks of using them. I do get some killer headaches but the intensity isn't as bad as the first few days.

On an unrelated topic;
I have to put my dog down today because of a tumor in her head. She has been as much a key to getting my Autistic daughter to communicate as any of her therapists. I got a good video of my daughter giving her popcorn and saying "Here you go. Good girl, Leli", hehe. As sweet as any animal I have known and we have been lucky to know her. Her memory will be with us forever. She will be missed. Off to give her some beef brisket and petting.

HI Unhappy, I lol'd at your "points in a circular motion around the cheeks". Thanks for that! Great news about knowing what's going on down there. I had intense headaches (or throbbing pains for (approx 30 seconds) about 20 seconds after applying GTN. It also gave me a rash which was incredibly itchy and felt like I needed to drag me bum area (points in a circular motion around the cheeks) across the tarmac. It has helped lots of people though and may do wonders for you. I found that Diltiazem was the best for me and my Botox.

So sad to hear about your little Leli, dogs can be so comforting during tough times and I hope your little one is ok. Make sure you dig out all your photos and videos!

Good luck with the next 10% of healing

I had another resurgence from not watching my diet closely enough. I caught a cold and the cold medicine constipated me again and I tore. :(
My doc has now prescribed Diltiazem so we'll see how that goes.

Also, we got a new dog from the pound. A Dachshund. After figuring out who the pack leader is, she has quickly adjusted and very well mannered...and cute! She's really helped us cope with our loss.

Apply the Nitro immediately before going to bed at night. Then the headaches don't seem to bother. Do not use it first thing in the morning - messes with my thinking.
