Take that you nasty fissure

Postby rw76 » 19 Sep 2013, 00:12

7 days into my misery I decided I was not going to let this keep me away from the Mumford & Sons concert I had been planning on for months and months. And guess what. Despite pain this AM. I had a great time with minimal discomfort. My hubby wanted us to cancel because he was afraid I would hurt and although I did have to take a few breaks to sit - I HAD A BLAST!

TAKE THAT! I will say that is a positive move towards healing. Can't be scared of always being in pain.

Good for you!
I went camping with mine. It held me back a bit, especially hiking the narrows in Zion Canyon (ow). Beforehand I was dreading it so much, but thought, I'm going to have pain anyway. I might as well have it in beautiful places. So glad I did.
Then I went home to England. Swam in the sea, had a good time with my family.
I would've missed so much if I'd cancelled.
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!
