I couldn't find such thread. If there is one already, sorry for starting new one.

What exercises help you and your fissure?

Some are mentioned here:

I jog, or rather slog - meaning no physical pain - 2 miles on workdays. I can't say this directly helped the fissure to heal but running always helps me with BM's. Maybe I'm lucky, but I never had pain except when pooping and that was more than enough.

I jog, too. I had commented on that previously on the board, and I think a few people were shocked. Back when I first got my fissure, it was too much to run - felt like there was swelling all underneath my tailbone at that point. Now, I try to jog three to four miles every other day. I asked the CRS about it, and he said he actually encourages exercise/jogging, as like Now66 says, it helps with keeping everything regular. I don't have any pain with jogging now. When I did have a lot of pain, I'd walk, and that seemed to help me greatly.

I did notice that when I did a weight lifting class, I did experience more pain. It's now bvious that it wasn't a good idea in retrospect, but at the time, I didn't realize it was a fissure causing me the pain. Same goes for spin class/biking.
