What an awful day and continuing intn tonight. "Burn Baby Burn!" Nothing worked today. Ibiprofen, Tylenol, hot baths,fibre...nothing zippo. "The Burning Ring of Fire"

...nor the nifidipine & lidocaine. Friggin usless!!

Feel sorry for you. It is the same with me. Doc. gave me nitro 0,1%, but it seems to cause more burning and I stopped using it. Usually I find some relief by applying gel from fresh aloe plant (have difficulties to put it inside, and in the last days it seems that it is loosing the effect).
By the way, I am new to the forum ( but not new to the hell of the anal fissure). Will introduce myself and
write more about me when this monster will allow me to sit for some time.
Disabling burning, drilling pain in anal area for almost a year, started after UT infection. Small anal fissure diagnosed, turned out it is probably not the cause of pain, MRI shows no inflammation or fistula. Grateful to forum members for support.
