A lot of blood?

Postby Erosindra » 26 Nov 2013, 23:54

Sorry if this is TMI, but today, after a few weeks of not having terrible problems (hardly any pain, if any at all and barely any blood), I pooped with minimal pain and there was A LOT of blood. At least by my standards. Normally it's just a little pink on the paper, but this time it was a lot of pink and there was blood every time I wiped. Should I be concerned? It didn't even bleed this much a few weeks ago when I was in an extreme amount of pain from being constipated.

Hi Erosindra,
Sorry you are struggling with these issues. Not nice but you are in a good place here.
Has anything else worsened? Pain levels etc.? or is just bleeding?
Have you had a fissure diagnosed?
The bleeding you describe could be aggravated internal hems but it's always a good thing to check with a GP (in the first instance) and ideally a CRS.
Bleeding is often normal with anal issues but always keep an eye on it along with any other changes.
Wishing you all the very best and hoping you feel better soon :)
Chronic Fissure diagnosed December 2011
Healed by Diltiazem around Feb 2013
