Retear??

Postby Lostandconfused » 12 Sep 2016, 09:15

Hello! I have been blood/pain free for basically a month now the past few days there has been small amount of blood on tp when I wipe and some minor discomfort (nothing near what I was experiencing) can this be a set back or a new fissure? Bms have been soft and 99% regular

Hey there L&C....

This sort of thing happened to me many times during my recovery...was it a retear...who knows really. My guess is that it could be a small new tear if it does not hurt too much, may simply be a bit of aggravation of your sensitive scar tissue which might bleed...or like me you might have a papilla that has grown a bit and that can get aggravated and bleed a bit. My papilla will bleed a tiny bit if I have a harder movement....but goes away quickly and does not compare to the pain or discomfort of a fissure.

If you are not in much pain I wouldn't sweat it too much....keep up any good eating, drinking and other habits that generally help fissures and you should be good.
