Re: Immunity to Softeners

Are you maybe getting too much fibre? That can make for big BMs which tear and hurt.
Have you tried using miralax/movicol?

Re: Eggs

My CRS actually recommended me to eat Activia yoghurt every day!
As Dawn very rightly says - we are all different and different foods will have different effects on different people, it's all trial and error to see what works for you personally.

Re: LIS and anal advancement flap 5 days ago (NHS route advice)

Hi there, congratulations on having the surgery, hopefully you will soon be putting this awful experience well and truly behind you. Re: Discomfort or Pain?

Well, it gets one more off their system if they send you to Limboland!
How about ringing the GP and saying it is an emergency? You could say you THINK you are having spasms maybe?

Re: Trouble Finding AF?

I know exactly how you feel there, Bernie, losing faith in the CRSs! I honestly don't know the answer, or how to find one who actually knows what they're talking about. I've just spent thousands going private, having a private MRI, and they're STILL wrong http://r15.imgfast.net/users/1514/24/56/02/s...

Re: Trouble Finding AF?

When I saw my GP with my fistula, she said "you haven't even got a fissure, never mind a fistula!!" I did have both, and had surgery for them some time afterwards, but it is very possible for them not to see it.
