Re: Anal fissure story + severe anxiety attacks and losing h

Hi Hayleyw, Thank you for the reassurance. Boy oh boy are the good and bad days thing so true. Being patient with an AF is incredibly challenging...ahhh. But I must hang in there!! Yes, I definitely am starting to think it is a sentinel tag rather than a hemorrhoid so I have stopped using the Procto...

Re: How much blood is normal + what does your blood look lik

I think it may be an irritated skin tag! It seems to shrink when I'm in less pain and be enlarged when I'm in more pain but I can't be sure. It feels like internal hemmies when I feel pressure inside but the one outside, both my GI and my CRS (who I saw yesterday just for a consultation) seem to thi...

Re: Intro

Hi SavaIci, I really don't want to jinx it, but today was a tiny bit better. My usual level of pain went down a notch during my BM. It's weird because even though it was painful, I was thankful that it was not THAT painful as it has been. I instantly became overjoyed and felt like I could breathe fo...

Re: Fissure re-tear/new tear causes/factors?

Hi Manitourose, I see that you are a fellow New Yorker - so I just wanted to say hello (I am fairly new to the forum)! I know how hard it is to live with anxiety disorder and the fissure intensifies the anxiety to a whole another level. I always had bad anxiety to begin with before my fissure starte...

Re: Intro

Can't say it enough, but y'all are truly the best. Is it weird that I haven't met you guys, but feel so comfortable talking to you and never thought I'd get so much comfort from strangers. Definitely trying to take everything one step at a time!! I will be starting a pain/food journal today. I will ...

Re: Anal fissure story + severe anxiety attacks and losing h

Sorry about that, SavaIci!! I will try to stay on one post. I just created a new post, but not sure if it should be under here. I do apologize as I am unsure and hope I am doing this right. Feel free to let me know whenever if I'm effing up! Thank you for your kind words. I was able to have my GI pr...

How much blood is normal + what does your blood look like?

Hey all, Over the past 3 days, I have been bleeding a lot more during BMs. I did discover my hemorrhoids acting up and so my GI prescribed me some Proctosol-HC 2.5% cream, which I am now using with my Nifedipine/Lidocaine. I'm just confused as to whether or not the bleeding is from the internal/prol...

Re: Anal fissure story + severe anxiety attacks and losing h

Thanks Hayley & SavaIci for the reply and encouraging thoughts and advice -I really appreciate it more than you'll ever know! I definitely had my mind running rampant due to my fissure being located off side. I believe it's called a unilateral fissure? Not sure...but yes, I don't have any abdomi...

Re: Intro

Canadabum, For stool softening, I have currently been taking a tablespoon of Citrucel as recommended by my GI along with one Colace a day. But I think I might try Miralax as it seems to work for a lot of you and also because I'm not sure if Citrucel is really softening the stool as opposed to bulkin...
