Re: Advancement flaps

Nick, do you mean a sub-forum? If so, I can do that. A sticky is just one post.

Re: Thrombosed Hemorrhoid help please (picture)

Looks like a thrombosed hemorrhoid to me, but that a purely an unqualified opinion having had one. Try using ice, for just a few minutes and wrapped in a towel to reduce the swelling. And Google thrombosed hemorrhoid and use our search under the pic too.

Re: what do i have?

Go to your GP. We cannot tell you for sure what it is. It is not life-threatening...it's on your bum and just remember what comes out of there. Maybe a hemorrhoid! Is it painful? An inflamed hemorrhoid is usually painful. If there is discharge it could be an abcess and they do not go away on their o...

Re: Dilation Help!

You're right, two months is not long enough. You need perseverance to be rid of pain (or the pain I was in). I was determined. Here is my post on the subject: http://anal-fissure.org/post119934.html?hilit=Pediatric#p119934 Read Suzljank's posts. She had double flap surgery, and to avoid stenosis dev...

Re: Constant Pain

Please, see a colon and rectal surgeon! GPs really know nothing about this. To me, (and I am just taking a flyer here) this sounds like an abscess, but only a CRS would know. Antibiotics will kill the infection but if it is an abscess it will not disappear but require some surgery (sorry to be the b...

Re: Please read my story if you have time. I need help.

Hi newmom89, Sorry you're going through it all with the dreaded fissure! :wel: to the forum though. I used self-dilation. My post is below, what I used, etc. it took some time to stop the wretched spasms but eventually it did. And I'm not the only one on here to have succeeded. http://anal-fissure.o...

Re: Fissure... ...or something else?

Girlneedshelp, :wel: to the forum and sorry you're in such pain :smilyhug: I suggest that you do not use donut cushions; they have a tendency to put pressure on the fissure and most CRS do not recommend them. An ordinary soft cushion is a better solution. Also, if your doctor suggests GTN (nitro) st...
