bath products

I know this is trivial in light of the pain, but how long is it before I can use anything in my bath other than epsom salts or savlon. I REALLY miss my bubble baths and I have a big stash of Lush products(do you have Lush shops in the States? They do truly gorgeous organic bath crumbles and fizzy bom...

Re: has anyone else felt like this?

I've just found out today at one of the many pharmacies that I have been asking for advil that it is ibruprofen!! No-one in the pharmacies seemed to know that, which is strange as this is supposed to be their specialist job.I have been taking nurofen gel capsules which is a very good brand-name ibru...

Re: has anyone else felt like this?

Thank you so much everyone, I don't know what all this would have been like without you all, you are all wonderful support! The thing is, I'm not sure we have botox over in the UK, we don't even have nefedipine or advil, I think we're still in the dinosaur ages!! I have at least 3 hot baths a day, s...

Re: has anyone else felt like this?

Does the milk of magnesia make it too soft, and do I still need to take the flax oil and aloe vera juice as well, and at the same time or a long time apart? I don't want to be in the loo all day!
The stuff the doctor gave me, lactolose, made me go 17 times in one day!!!

Re: New & Hello

Hi, I'm the other boardie from the UK! We don't seem to have as much medication available as in yhe US and our doctors seem totally unsympathetic and unknowledgable, my doctor treated me for piles and then gave me painkillers with codeine in! None of the chemists stock the anoheal(which is diltiazem...

Re: has anyone else felt like this?

I'm taking ibruprofen and paracetamol, but sometimes they work and sometimes they don't, there's no pattern to it. My mum and dad have been brilliant at helping out and so has my husband. My son, who is 13 has aspergers syndrome which is a mild form of autism, and I home educate him, which I'm findi...

has anyone else felt like this?

yesterday I was in really severe pain from 8 am until 11 pm, it lasted all day and nothing made it any better, I was crying on the sofa, crying in the bath and crying in bed. Eventually I took valium and pethidine and felt so spaced out that the pain didn't matter so much, but for a while I was hopi...

Re: the pain!

I always used to sleep on my left side, which is where my fissure is-the 8 o clock position, and I can't lay that side at all now which I find really annoying, but sitting in general is torture, laying down flat is lovely!

Re: Horrible spasms or what?

That's a good idea, I'll try that. I was given pethidine but it only made me really spaced out, it didn't help with the pain at all. I had it when I was in labour though and it worked then!

Re: are these the right things?

I know what you mean! I managed to go out for a while yesterday, and I was really pleased, but today I'm climbing the walls again. It's quite upsetting because we were going to a farm and I couldn't go, so my husband has taken my son on his own. He's home eduacated and I took him all over the place ...
