Thank you

Postby prunie » 02 Mar 2013, 03:56

I just wanted to send out a very happy thank you to this forum. For the first time in nearly 5 months today I went to the loo without any pain or any blood! That is down, in the most part, to this forum (with a small amount of help from Diltiazem....which I learnt about from this forum). I know it's just one small day, and one step in the right direction. The AF is still there...however, I feel like I'm in charge today and not it. I know I am likely to have set backs, but today there is light at the end of a very long, dark and painful tunnel (not an analogy for the area in discussion). I love to squat, I love my prunes, meat no longer looks yummy to me, I am a shareholder in vaseline, the sitz bath is as good as going for a facial, wet wipes, prune juice, another prune for good measure, magnesium supplements, drinking like I live in a desert, exercises for my butt, breathing when I have a BM and one more prune for luck.
I'm hoping my post doesn't jinx things, but I truly wanted to send out a huge thank you to the members of this forum. You kick my doctors ass for help, support and for fixing my bum! Image

Prunie, is just small step but they make a big difference, hopefully your good days will top the bad and then you can have a normalcy in your life.
Yes, be aware that set back do happen specially with chronic fissures they seem to just get better but you always know that is still there.
I am very happy for you. I also found tons of good information in this board that have help me cope understand my fissure. Image

I actually get down on my knees and thank God every single working day of my life for this website, without it, I honestly don't know what I would have done. God is sooooo good. When this thing was first diagnosed this year, not only had I never heard of a fissure, I had no clue about it....but somehow the lord guided me to this website and its been a blessing beyond anything one could imagine, just a sheer blessing. The money and time and energy I've saved reading up on things here, is invaluable, I couldn't put a price tag on it, even if I tried. And there is nothing more precious or comforting than to be among the kindest and most supportive people whom you've never met.... UNDERSTANDING YOUR PAIN and THEY GET IT!!!...Nothing like it in the world, eh Prunie? Have a great day.

Same here, pal!! :D Doesn't matter what you're going through, there is always someone here, who's been there too....and there's no greater feeling than knowing you are not alone....man, I can't tell you how good that makes you feel, there's nothing like it.

To highlight how valuable the comments are here, I posted last night about that and got a solution within minutes...after 3 days of constipation, one comment from suzy to try Milk of mag. and I had not only the best bm in weeks, after applying the nitro and popin 2 pills, I actually went to sleep without any pain...it was great. I'm gonna increase my fiber and give up on the docolac cause I don't think it works. I take those gel caplets twice a day in addition to the birdseeds and water and still got constipated. Thanks for checkin up on me....glad to report, today is a good day...finally!!! Image

GGky1959, things can get better, sometimes we get a relief, those are moments to be cherished.

Marg, I work weekends and after not having a bm for 3 days, I dreaded work today after taking the MM....but I actually had the best day of this year today. Other than taking a pill for minor aches on my shoulders, my bum didn't bother me at all today. And yes, I do cherish every second of everyday, I'm painfree.....we all do, eh? Image
