Topic Moderators

Postby Cheryl » 18 Jan 2007, 17:44

Hi All :hi:
The forum has been getting a little busier lately and as much as i'd love to be - i just dont have time to be on here posting 24/7 Image, but I am hoping some of you experienced folk out there would like to become a moderator of a topic that you are 'experienced' with.. and be a more active part of the forum!
So far I'd like to start this with the Surgery & Diet Topics only. **Edited to change to all General forum topics, Greet, General discussion, Surgery, Diet, Gay Community & References.
If you are interested and would like to be a moderator, please PM me.

Topic Moderator Duties
Have already made atleast 50 posts to the board (Or at least a solid contribution so far)
Visit the forum at least every day or two.
Have relevant experience with your topic (ie, Surgery Topic, you will have had LIS)
Move, close, merge, split, and edit threads when appropriate.
Alert the Admin/s to inappropriate posts and/or members who repeatedly break the Rules.
Help mediate any heated discussions between members.
Keep conversations flowing in your assigned forum. (Generate discussions)
Actively participate in discussions.. You dont have to have an answer to 'every' post, as this could get exhausting, just participate as much as needed.

What you get
A regular salary of 'well dones' and 'hip, hip, hoorays' Image
A cool new MOD title on your avatar :king:
Respect by your community in your area of expertise Image

I've probably forgotten a few things, but we'll smooth out the bumps along the way

I would love to help out but generally through the workweek I am just able to pop in and out on the board.

I have two grandkids at home and they get most of my attention right now....plus a second job on Tuesdays and Wednesdays...

Hopefully I'll have less stress and responsibilities later in Feb.,; if you still need a surgery mod then I'll try & volunteer!

Keep up the good work,; I'm tickled the Forum has become such a success!!:bouncy:
