I understand how you are feeling and I know it can feel like pressure when people expect you to act a certain way and be the supportive one even if you don't feel like doing that. Please know that we don't expect you to always be our cheerleader and our comic and you don't have to feel good to come here. We are here for the ups and downs. I know we all go in cycles. Some days we feel like we don't have much to contribute and that is okay. Friends stick by each other through thick and thin.

I also understand the fear of not knowing what the next day will hold. It is like that psychology experiement where the mouse gets these random shocks and has no way to escape or control it and it starts to give up trying anymore. But none of us can do that. We have to fight back and pick each othe rup when we can't do it ourselves. I think you just need to let us pick you up from time to time and not feel like you are the one that is always picking us up!

see, we forbid you from disappearing!!! No matter what! It's our turn to return the favor--cheer you up and make you laugh.
Plus we need stories like yours so that people remember you still have to heal your fissure after LIS. We need your stories so that we can learn to cope and so that we can help you cope with this malady and our fears. I'm afraid to celebrate too much next week because of the pain. I keep wondering...how will I handle 3 drinks? Is it possible or will I regret it?
In some perverse way it's comforting to know that there are people like you around who can understand and sympathize with the fear, especially post-LIS.
So, you see, even when you are sad, you have to stay around and you especially have to share your story and your burden with us.
